Split is the 2nd largest city in Croatia, located some 210km northwest from Dubrovnik and is famous for its Diocletian’s palace. It is a 1700 year-old masterpiece of late Roman architecture created by the Roman emperor Diocletian. It is one of the oldest ancient palaces and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is definitely worth exploring by foot. The first place we will visit is the Cathedral of Saint Dominos. It is the oldest Catholic Cathedral in the world, in its original structure. We will also visit: Peristyle, Pjaca, and Prokurative, cellars under the Palace, Temple of Jupiter, and Gregory of Nin statues, Vestibul and other important sites. Following this walking tour you will get some time to rest. Optional visits to Blue and Red Lake Imotski, city of Omiš, Klis Fortress, Vranjača cave or to Krka National Park may be provided upon your request.
